RedSpec TGX MK3 for G3M Sneak Peek *NSFW*
Since so many of you have been asking for a quick peek at how RedSpec TGX MK3 for G3M is shaping up, here you go with a proof of concept :)
Since we're trying to again achieve a high level of realism with this shader, we're looking to support TAB! at launch. You can read all about it here www.renderotica.com/store/cat/… (hint: It's the genital prop seen in the image here.)
We will be supporting the M7-UV-mapping option at launch, so should you have this already there will be a dedicated shader for it right away.

:iconerogenesiscgi: was kind enough to provide us with pre-release files, so we were able to work on it for a while and integrate it into the actual shader pack. Big shoutout to you brother, for your excellent work on TAB!, we don't really think that there are any better male genitalia props out there ;)

Of course, the actual shader will be integrated as you've come to know it, from the G3F version of the shader available here: redspec-sss.com/g3f_tailored_m…
This means 2-click-presets to apply the shader directly from within DAZ Studio.

Between A Rock And A Hard Place
Been working on my next career moves so render uploads as well as development advancements regarding RedSpec have been scarce, sorry for thaat.
Just found the time between playing the absolutely fantastic and gorgeous Horizon: Zero Dawn to squeeze in a render obviously inspired by this GOTY-material-type game.

Xelath Dum: Aboard Muninn
Continuing the Legend of Xelath Dum, which I started about 1 1/2 years ago with this shot here: trrazor.deviantart.com/art/Gua….
I wanted to come up with a semi-decent back story for the images which are meant to show you life in and around Xelath Dum after the great wars of 25819 B.L.

Almost all life on Planet Earth had perished due to bombings with geophysical warheads loaded with freon that would be shot into the atmosphere over the enemy.

Once they had reached the ozone layer, those weapons would detonate causing the layer to tear.
Every enemy that didn't change position by about 100km in a matter of 7 minutes would get heavy skin burns on a sunny day and the ultraviolet rays would cause cancer cells to grow rapidly.
Agriculture was almost impossible in these areas after a Ozone Breaker - as they would call it later - had detonated.

In Xelath Dum, 
samples of genetic code from every single specimen, that used to exist on planet earth, before the great wars, are being held.

In this new shot, you get to take a rare look inside the cockpit of one of the two recon dropships of Xelath Dum.
They're called Munnin and Huginn just like the two ravens in Norse mythology. They fly over Midgard bringing information to the god Odin - or in this case, collect necessary information and collect samples which - one day - are supposed to lead to the return of mankind on planet Earth.

They set out frequently on recon missions, with a crew typically consisting out of 20-30 men and women. The armament of the recon units called Völvas, pictured here in their standard-issue ocre capes, are short-barrelled high-powered assault shotguns firing burning magnesium rounds.
Taking sniper rifles or other scoped rifles with them on missions is highly forbidden, as those might give their position away to the tribesmen of the Cochaies - a mutated people living in the outskirts and badlands of Lavta, exposed to the UV radiation-levels caused by the ozone-breakers.

Should the Völvas get involved in close encounters, they are usually backed up by berserkers. Heavy grunts equipped with tech-axes. Deadly melee weapons that can glide even through the hardest of metals and armors due to a special honing procedure only known to the mercenaries of Xelath Dum.

I am surely doing something wrong but... whenever I apply the shaders on my existing character and start the render it makes the skin a bit plastic-alike :/ What am I doing wrong? I simply drag and drop the shaders one by one over the many body parts and render... at least that's what the readme PDF is telling me to do. Do I have to play around with the settings? Could you give me some quick tips?

Hey,

it depends strongly on your OctaneRender plug-in version and the character materials you applied to BEFORE you actually apply the RedSpec shaders.
Make sure to get the most recent DAZ3D Studio plug-in version of Octane here: render.otoy.com/customerdownlo…
And the most recent Poser here render.otoy.com/customerdownlo…

Then make sure to apply 3Delight settings BEFORE applying in DAZ3D Studio, as Iray materials won't work.

Changing the glossiness of the shader is described in the manual: Try upping the roughness values, by decreasing any specular values.

Hi there!!!

I'm a brand new Octane user and a customer of yours, having purchased the skin shaders for Gen 2 and they're a -life- saver for a newbie like me!!!

I was wondering if you could pass on some advice in regards to rendering transmapped hair! I can't get it nearly as beautiful and realistic as you guys can! Despite editting the transmaps, it always seems too... Well, unrealistic in regards to how the light interacts with it.

Any advice for a newbling? Thanks guys, you're great!

Du ich hab mal eine kurze Frage an dich. Wie kann ich die Redspec-Shader für Genesis 2 Female und Male (hab jetzt beide) auf einmal in das DAZ Studio Plugin laden?

Ich sehe z. B. Bilder von dir, bei denen beide Charaktere in einer Szene sind.
