Just Wet
Further enhancing my HDR workflow - think this came out rather nicely.
You can see the final release version of RedSpec TGX Wet for Genesis 3 Females in this shot. Shown here is the "Drips & Drops" preset.

Finalizing documentation now and getting ready for release in the very near future. You can already check out a video tutorial showing the application of the shaders directly from within DAZ Studio over here: www.youtube.com/watch?v=d0yrR5…

Character concept I have been working on for a while now.
Like how she turned out so I thought I'd post a render with her.

Drips And Drops by TRRazor
Drips And Drops
With RedSpec TGX Wet for Genesis 3 Females we wanted to completely unlink the wet shader from the actual skin shader by realistically simulating PBR-ready water materials with drip and drop effects over your favourite skin shader.
This means you can now have any skin shader applied to your base figure, while RedSpec TGX Wet is simply applied "over" the actual figure, thus seperating skin and water shading achieving much more realistic results.

RedSpec TGX Wet for Genesis 3 Females will launch with two presets "Drips and Drops" and "Sweat".
While "Drips and Drops" will give you a sort of "fresh-out-of-the-shower-look", ready with realistic driplines and physically correct water drops, "Sweat" was designed to accurately portray human transpiration after your daily fitness routine or a long day of physical work.

The first one is portrayed in the official promo above.

Hope you like what we've done with RedSpec TGX Wet for G3F and are just as excited as we are for the official release in the coming days!

Thanks for stopping by!

Take care

Noel

PS: Started to work within an HDR-workflow now, which should be apparent in the darker areas of the image (hair, shadows etc.)
Will see what this can do for my work and might even upgrade some of my older images with it.

I am surely doing something wrong but... whenever I apply the shaders on my existing character and start the render it makes the skin a bit plastic-alike :/ What am I doing wrong? I simply drag and drop the shaders one by one over the many body parts and render... at least that's what the readme PDF is telling me to do. Do I have to play around with the settings? Could you give me some quick tips?

Hey,

it depends strongly on your OctaneRender plug-in version and the character materials you applied to BEFORE you actually apply the RedSpec shaders.
Make sure to get the most recent DAZ3D Studio plug-in version of Octane here: render.otoy.com/customerdownlo…
And the most recent Poser here render.otoy.com/customerdownlo…

Then make sure to apply 3Delight settings BEFORE applying in DAZ3D Studio, as Iray materials won't work.

Changing the glossiness of the shader is described in the manual: Try upping the roughness values, by decreasing any specular values.

Let me know, if this helped you.

Regards and Happy Rendering

Hi there!!!

I'm a brand new Octane user and a customer of yours, having purchased the skin shaders for Gen 2 and they're a -life- saver for a newbie like me!!!

I was wondering if you could pass on some advice in regards to rendering transmapped hair! I can't get it nearly as beautiful and realistic as you guys can! Despite editting the transmaps, it always seems too... Well, unrealistic in regards to how the light interacts with it.

Any advice for a newbling? Thanks guys, you're great!

Hey Ashfire45,

thank you so much for your kind words :)
We're really happy, that you're liking our shaders so much - thanks :)
As in regard to your questions in rendering hair in Octane - we're currently working on a little something which will probably help you out in that respect.

Stay tuned - we'll announce more in the near future.

Appreciate your patience :)
We're working on a solution which should work great on a lot of hair types and models.

Hallo Kollege Razor! :D

Johannes
