Description
The British SAS is probably one of the most famous special forces operation groups out there.
Its founding dates all the way back to WW2 - to 1941 to be precise, where it was originally formed as a regiment of the British Armed Forces (to this date, the British SAS is often simply referred to as "The Regiment" for this reason).
The way SAS operatives are trained have had / still have a major influence on other special forces units all over the world, and their operatives are some of most skilled world wide.
The SAS gained international fame, during the 1980 Iranian Embassy siege in London where an Iranian Arab group took 26 people hostage over almost a full week and demanded the release of Arab prisoners from jails in Khūzestān.
SAS operatives were called in to assist the police and free the hostages after one hostage was killed and more were threatened to be, should the demands of the hostage takers not be fulfilled.
The SAS rappelled down from the roof and forced their entry into the embassy with massive window breach charges - five of the six terrorists were dead shortly after, with all remaining hostages being well and alive. You can see original footage of the siege here: www.youtube.com/watch?v=eKi5Av…
The outfits worn by the operators on that day (hooded, black BDUS with Gas Masks) influenced this render equipped with an MP5A5, an EOTECH holosight and a Tac-Com red-dot laser sight.
S/P: ~5.000
Render time: ~ 30 mins (GTX Titan Black + GTX 780)
Light source: HDRi
Shaders: RedSpec TGX tailored for Genesis 2 Males (available at redspec-sss.com/)
